Here is a new joint off of the "Street Communications" mixtape by hosted DJ TKO (of Coast2Coast DJs) coming soon.... This track features some Boston flavor, mixed with a little North Carolina, and a dash of Belgium, to bring you the essence of Hip-Hop with a dark hard-hitting beat and rhymes straight from the heart. Revalation and Mayhem are both part of a crew called EMS with M-Dot and are reppin' MA. There's Praverb reppin' NC all day and then the track is produced by Kenshin of Belgium. And Cuts by DJ Family Tyz, another MassHole. Quickly becoming regarded as one of Texas’ brightest new acts, Crew54 is determined to make their way into the game. Combining raw reality lyrics with soul driven banging beats, G-christ and M.O.S. deliver a high energy product that bumps in your system and will blow you away live in person.

After serving in the Army, G-Christ ended up in Killeen, TX. Using his southern breeding, mixed with world traveling experience, he crafted a lyrical style that is versatile, with the ability to sound natural on almost any type of beat. From east coast grimy to southern bounce, G-Christ is ready to destroy any beat and song concept. MOS is constantly crafting his writing style to connect with the listener on all bases. Having worked with bevy of crews, artist, and producers, the unofficial official MOS catalogue is profuse. It was a natural connection when they met, and that moment a legacy for born.

Big Pooh’s Delightful Bars Will Be Available In Four Different Versions And Features Guest Appearances By Jay Rock, Justus League, E-Ness, Muhsinah and Production From Khrysis, Jake One, Illmind, 9th Wonder, Young RJ, The Co-Op and OhNo

As one half of the critically acclaimed duo Little Brother, Big Pooh has toured the globe and back, dropped three critically acclaimed LP’s (2003’s The Listening, 2005’s The Minstrel Show and 2007’s Getback), numerous classic mixtapes, his own solo-LP (2005’s Sleepers) and worked with some of the biggest and most respected names in the industry—Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Pete Rock, Consequence, Big Daddy Kane, Buckshot, 9th Wonder, MURS, Mos Def, Bun B, Kurupt, Nottz, Rhymefest, Talib Kweli, Cormega, Kardinal Offishal, Hi-Tek (among others).

Big Pooh’s latest vehicle is a street-LP entitled, Delightful Bars, and there will be four different versions of Delightful Bars made accessible, including a special iTunes only version (referred to as the Candy Apple version), which will be released on 3-24-09 and the North American retail version of Delightful Bars (referred to as the North American Pie Version) will be released on 5-5-09.

Delightful Bars lead-single is the Khrysis produced “The Comeback” and its accompanied by the OhNo produced B-Side “Radio” and is further bolstered by guest spots from Pooh’s Justus League cohorts (Chaundon, Joe Scudda, Jozeemo, Big Dho & Darien Brockington) Jay Rock, Torae and production from Khrysis, 9th Wonder, Jake One, Illmind, Young RJ, The Co-Op and OhNo.

For Pooh, what he initially planned to be a mixtape took on a new life after a few particularly productive studio sessions as he affirms “this is some of my best work to date as a solo artist. I started off recording for a mixtape, but I had a plethora of material that deserved a presentation much larger than a mixtape. Delightful Bars was born from the Dirty Pretty Things, Rapper’s Delight, and The Recipe recording sessions. The fans will find that this project serves as the perfect bridge between Sleepers and my upcoming sophomore solo album Dirty Pretty Things.

“I hate to call it a mixtape – that term has been cheapened,” said Kno of Strange Journey. “And it’s all original stuff… We’re not rappin’ over ‘This Is Why I’m Hot’ two years later. It’s not that… I don’t even really pitch to people that don’t wanna listen to our music [why they should buy it], ‘cause they’re gonna download it for free anyway. So I fully invite them to download it for free. Anybody who wants to hear it, I want them to download it. It’s all good. But as far as [a] sales pitch [for] the people who really wanna support CunninLynguists monetarily and the people who enjoy our music, it’s mad cheap and I stand by everything that’s on it. It’s real good music… And I think people when they’re broke, and they’re worried about their job, they need good music to pick ‘em up.”

Recession-priced at $12 (which includes shipping costs), those that place their advance order by Monday will receive for their dozen dollars an autographed copy of SJV1, bonus album instrumentals, and have all in hand several weeks before the official retail release of the CD on May 26th. Appearances on the album come from the group’s QN5 fam (Tonedeff, Substantial, PackFM), as well as Slug of Atmosphere, who surfaces for the lament on being away from home during long tour trips, “Don’t Leave (When Winter Comes)”. Former group member Mr. SOS is also back in the CunninLynguists mix for Strange Journey.

“He recorded a solo track,” Kno noted. “This track [“Die For You”] is entirely him, three verses. I mean, we never really stopped working with SOS. It’s just a matter of him getting material out. He has a lot of stuff just kinda sitting on the shelf waiting to be released.”

Although their outside-the-group production plate is apparently always full, Kno and Deacon continue to keep the focus, along with Natti, on CunninLynguists’ music. The trio are already planning to unleash the second installment of Strange Journey in September to coincide with the group’s North American tour.

A grimier counterpart to its predecessor, Strange Journey Volume Two assembles an assortment of underground Hip Hop luminaries, including Sean Price and Poison Pen (who appear on the concept record about how no matter your locale you can get attacked and jacked, “Streets”), J-Zone, Bronze Nazareth, Guilty Simpson, and many more.

And after the two volumes of Strange Journey have reached the satisfied masses, CunninLynguists will unveil two more offerings for fans of that southern fried soulness.

“We’re working on an EP, and we’re working on a new studio album,” Kno revealed of the group’s planned 2010 releases. “We don’t have a title [for either] yet. But both of the records are concept records, and they kinda run into each other…We never stop working. This is a recession, [and] you’re gonna get fired if you stop.”

Strange Journey Volume One is due May 26 from Bad Taste Records.

Strange Journey Volume Two will be released 09.08.09 and features appearances by Sean Price, Poison Pen, J-Zone, Blue Sky Black Death, Bronze Nazareth and more!

Pre-Order Volume One now and receive your ADVANCED autographed copy with bonus sticker and instrumentals a full 4-6 weeks before it’s available in stores!

His first release gained him critical praise from trade publications and fans alike. Discussions on his MC skill began to light up on internet message boards all over the world. A one month European tour was warranted to support his project and meet his new found popularity overseas. Upon his return, Vakill was determined to work on next release with the same strict guidelines as his first.

On his sophomore release, “Worst Fears Confirmed”, Vakill brings to light what his freshman release foreshadowed. The sickest MC returns to solidify his legacy that reaches back to the early days of Chicago Hip Hop. As far as lyrics were concerned, the crown wasn’t about to move.

Vakill paints vivid pictures on a sonic canvas provided by fellow crew members the Molemen. As his lyrics game stepped up, so did the Molemen’s production approach. Illustrious samples alongside keyboard and acoustic accompaniments make this the best sounding project to date. The words described the settings while the music sets the mood. The cinematic result is a ride through the cold streets of Chicago.

“Worst Fears Confirmed” is an opus written from the complex mind of Vakill, who’s uncompromising skill raises the bar in a time when lyricism is at a decline. Produced and overseen by Molemen Inc, the album adds to the indigenous sound of Chicago for the world to take note. The warning came and went, and now this is the storm coming to wash away the scum.

When one man takes a stand against something its very easy to write it off as "hating". But if everybody speaks up, it becomes much more. "I F*cking Hate Rappers" is not just your typical bash against the "wack mc", it's a call to action for people to raise their standards and show respect for the art form, in an age where "rapping" is the last thing rappers are known for.

Radio is not your average instrumental album. Exile did not want to just put beats on a record. He wanted everything to be unique and different, from the starting concept to the final message of Radio. Sampling vocals off the radio, Exile overcame the challenge and succeeded in creating a positive message on an instrumental album. As Exile says, "Good and evil are present on the radio. With this record I express love in contrast to evil. I did not want to put an album out showing only my talent… I needed to share with the listener what I have learned from my life. In this case, the radio."

Los Angeles based artist Aleksander "Exile" Manfredi is not the first in his family to create music. His father, Albert Trent Manfredi (R.I.P.) and grandfather Alberico Manfredii were both musicians. His father released some 45's in the 1960's that are now highly sought after. His grandfather not only taught music but also played in a diverse mix of bands ranging from Mariachi to traditional Italian music.

At an early age Exile was exposed to a wide variety of music. Living in his grandfather's garage, he learned to play the accordion. His father was experimenting with drugs at the time and was not around much. Exile moved with his mother and sister to a two bedroom, Section 8 apartment. With no money or car and barely enough food… paid for with welfare checks and food stamps, he sought refuge in music.

Exile's early exposure to Hip Hop grew into the desire to create the music he loved himself. At the age of 18, Exile met up with rapper, Aloe Blacc, 16 years old at the time. With a one-button sampler and a four track they formed Emanon and started making their own albums. Exile, then met 19 year old rapper Blu and together started work on his solo effort Dirty Science, featuring Slum Village, MED and Ghostface Killah. Together they also made the critically acclaimed classic, Blu and Exile's Below The Heavens.

After producing tracks for artists such as Mobb Deep, Jurassic 5, Akon and Snoop Dog; he continues to excel in the art of creating music with his first instrumental album entitled Radio. This is an album you can listen to from start to finish and expect to be taken on a ride each time. Let us spread the awareness, understanding and appreciation of Radio.

Half-teacher, half emcee, all hustle. A 12-year rhyme veteran, Philadelphia native and Phoenix transplant, Random speaks to the everyman through creative stories and concepts.

It all started with "The Call." Released by RAHM Nation Recordings in 2006 to rave reviews, it helped to establish Ran as one of underground hip-hop's up and comers.

"The Call" has been utilized in university curriculum and has propelled Random all over country, selling thousands of copies and encouraging young, old, rich and poor alike.

Random's follow-up move can only be described as something Random. In 2007 he released the critically acclaimed "Mega Ran" album, which combines hip-hop, rock and many more musical genres with the memorable music of the classic Mega Man video games. This album got him into the good graces of the game's creators, Capcom, who offered Random full support of the project, which opened him up to a completely new fan base, in addition to his growing underground following. Now you are just as likely to catch Random spitting his clever, poignant rhymes at an anime convention as at an underground Hip-Hop spot.

Okayplayer called "Mega Ran" 'one of the most creative releases this year,' and Random's music has gone on to be profiled by media outlets such as Wired Magazine, IGN, Complex Magazine, Blender Magazine and more.

Random released the conceptual "The 8th Day," on August 8, 2008 featuring guest appearances by Naledge of Kidz in the Hall, LMNO of the Visionaries, MC Frontalot and many more, in addition to competing in the world-famous SCRIBBLE JAM MC Battle and landing a feature story in Blender Magazine.
